COMING SOON - NATIONAL VETERAN CAR DISPLAY

As part of the National Veteran Vehicle One and Two Cylinder Tour being held in the Swan Valley in April 2010, these rare vehicles will be driving to Sorrento Quay on Tuesday, 13 April 2010.

The cars will be on display in the Southern car park from 11.30am to 2.30pm. 35 of the 45 vehicles entered are over 100 years old.

Don't miss this opportuniy to see history in motion and don't forget to bring your camera!

Come to Hillarys Boat Harbour for the Free Floating Films event on the 26 February 2010.

At dusk, as the sun sets over the water, our gigantic floating screen lights up with a riveting animated film from the popular Asterix series.This wonderful family film features great gags and terrific animation.

Pre show entertainment will commence from 6.30pm with the film scheduled to begin approx 7.30pm.

We have received formal approval for the redevelopment of the ex-Breakwater Tavern Premises. The redevelopment will consist of some 14 new tenancies including malls, cafes, restaurants and speciality stores of which nearly 50% is leased.

NEW PUBLIC SEATING

New public seating has been installed in the piazza adjacent to Wokinabox and Gelatino.

This important inclusion provides seating for patrons who simply want to enjoy the view or take a rest between shopping and dining.

BEACH UPGRADE

We are pleased to advise that the beach upgrade is coming to a close with the majority of the beach area and landscaping open for public use from 1 October 2009.

The upgrade consists of improved public amenities including BBQ's, new shade structures, mature trees for shade and a new events platform between the 2 beaches.

LANDSCAPE UPGRADE 8th Jul 2009

LANDSCAPE UPGRADE

The landscape works outside and around The Great Escape are part of an onging upgrade of the Harbour. Part of the upgrade includes new terraces and easy pedestrian access onto the beach area. In addition to this the centre groyne area which hosts the fun park during school holidays is being rebuilt.

It is expected that the works will be completed by the end of October 2009.

Plans are currently underway for Stage 3 of Sorrento Quay Boardwalk's redevelopment.

Coming soon to Sorrento Quay Boardwalk are new malls, cafes, restaurants and various specialty shops.
